Principal's Message
ZACH BESHEA, HILLCREST ELEMENTARY PRINCIPAL
Zach Beshea is serving in his second year as Principal at Hillcrest Elementary School in Del Valle ISD. We are fortunate to have a growth-minded educational leader that students, teachers, and community members deserve. He has served in education for 12 years, and most recently, he was named the 2021-2022 TASSP Region 20 "Greater San Antonio Area" Assistant Principal of the Year. Mr. Beshea holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Education from Texas Lutheran University and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Texas at Arlington. He believes schools need a leader who empowers and inspires students in the educational environment and the community, modeling how they can be world-class visionaries who navigate challenges and think critically.
A Message from Zach Beshea
Empathy, Equity, and Excellence will drive my vision at Hillcrest Elementary during the 23-24 school year. There are no limits to what any student or teacher can achieve at Hillcrest with a student-centered and growth mindset mentality. Family and community buy-in are essential to student success, and I encourage all stakeholders to make decisions for positive change. Being committed and passionate is an integral part of my life. Even though sometimes it is challenging when you are a school leader, seeing our students grow emotionally and academically is also rewarding. I am committed to innovative practices and collaborative efforts with all stakeholders.
